Senior Firmware Developer

Are you a highly skilled firmware expert looking to take on challenging embedded systems projects? We are seeking a seasoned Senior Firmware Developer to join our team and contribute their expertise in firmware development, design, and maintenance for medical device applications.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded systems that directly impact patient care and clinical workflows. As a Senior Firmware Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex firmware using C/C++ for ARM Cortex-M based systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware for medical device applications using C/C++ for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
  • Implement and optimize firmware for NXP i.MX RT1170 and STMicroelectronics STM32 G4 microcontrollers
  • Port existing firmware designs and algorithms between different MCU platforms
  • Develop low-level MIPI-DSI communication protocols for high-resolution image sensors
  • Implement image and video processing algorithms including H.264, AV1, and other compression/processing methods
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and clinical teams to define system requirements and ensure compliance with FDA regulations and medical device standards
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in embedded firmware development
  • Highly proficient in embedded C/C++ programming
  • Extensive experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and associated SDKs
  • Proficiency with IAR EWARM IDE development environment
  • Strong understanding of real-time operating systems and embedded system design principles
  • Experience with NXP (i.MX RT series) and/or STMicroelectronics (STM32) microcontroller families
  • Knowledge of MIPI-DSI communications protocols and high-resolution image sensor integration
