Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and documentation of ESD services for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and engineering colleagues to develop and implement sustainable design solutions.
- Conduct sustainable design assessments, calculations, and studies to minimize environmental impact.
- Prepare advice and propose solutions to sustainable design matters, ensuring effective reduction of environmental impact.
- Attend and manage project/client/site meetings as required, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Allocate and monitor workloads, meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality documentation deliverables.
- Liaise with authorities and suppliers, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Collaborate with other building design professionals to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions.
- Interpret relevant Australian standards and the Building Codes of Australia, ensuring comprehensive knowledge and application.
- Prepare sustainable design reports and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or equivalent.
- Experience in design and documentation within various sectors of the construction industry.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam, and other ESD-specific software packages.
- Knowledge of building codes and relevant standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise positively with key stakeholders.
- Excellent time management, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Creativity and analytical skills.
- Strong client focus and the ability to work within or lead a project team.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills (both internal and external).
