Hands-On Maintenance Assistant

As a member of our maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to develop your mechanical and fabrication skills while supporting our packing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with machinery maintenance and workshop jobs
  • Grease and lubricate equipment to keep the packing lines running smoothly
  • Pitch in with fabrication, welding prep, and simple mechanical repairs as needed
  • Ensure the workshop is clean, safe, and organized at all times
  • Help track tools and parts to ensure the team has what they need
  • Support other operations when required

Requirements:

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Basic mechanical or hands-on experience (e.g. maintenance, farming, machinery, fabrication)
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Physically fit and able to work safely in a fast-paced environment
  • Forklift license or willingness to obtain one (advantageous)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport to the Murtho site
