About the Role:

Convergence Recruitment is seeking an experienced Insurance Estimator and Assessor to join our client's team in Tasmania. As an Insurance Estimator and Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing and estimating insurance repairs in the Launceston region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit 2-4 sites per day to assess damaged residential properties against policies
  • Prepare repair cost estimations, repair methodology, scope, and reports to submit to clients
  • Work efficiently leveraging an effective internally developed software system
  • Grow value-added relationships with Contractors, Loss Adjusters, and Insurers Representatives
  • Oversee project repair process with heavy support from the team
  • Enjoy flexibility while collaborating with the team remotely

Requirements:

  • Experience estimating general building or insurance building works
  • Knowledge of building codes and WHS, with a commitment to safety
  • Trade background highly advantageous (e.g., Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office experience with the ability to learn user-friendly systems, including mobile apps
  • Insurance building experience not required, but may be advantageous
