Animal Health and Welfare Role in South Australia

Are you a passionate veterinarian seeking a challenging role that combines your skills with your love for animal welfare? We are currently seeking an experienced Livestock Veterinary Specialist to join our team in the picturesque Clare Valley region of South Australia.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with sheep flocks and working dogs, contributing to life-saving human medications through your work with animal health and welfare. You will be part of a knowledgeable and supportive team of vets and farm operators who share your passion for sustainable farming practices and animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor flock health, perform disease testing, and implement treatment plans for both individual animals and the entire flock.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to manage the health and welfare of sheep flocks and working dogs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Degree in Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia (VSBSA).
  • Interest in Sheep Production and Animal Health – Experience working with livestock, particularly sheep, will be highly regarded but not essential. What's important is a passion for animal welfare and a willingness to learn.
  • Attention to Detail – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
  • Team-Oriented and Motivated – A positive attitude, motivation, and a keen desire to contribute to the broader goals of the company are crucial.

  • Accommodation: A fully furnished 3-bedroom property onsite valued at $13,000.
