**About the Role**

This role will proactively facilitate and support the delivery of the Health and Safety strategy and framework with a focus on health, safety and training advice, guidance and leadership in collaboration with sections and teams across council.

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Health Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a participative relationship model, where education, guidance and expertise address operational issues and build capability within operational areas, contributing to the achievement of service deliverables through a focus on continuous improvement.

The ideal applicant will have a Bachelor qualification in Work Health and Safety, Risk, Compliance, or a related discipline, combined with extensive experience working in a similar role in a large and diverse organisation with demonstrated highly developed leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with extensive experience (7+ years) leading a team of professionals within a supportive and collaborative work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively facilitate and support the delivery of the Health and Safety strategy and framework.
  • Built a participative relationship model to address operational issues and build capability within operational areas.
  • Lead and develop a team of health, safety and training professionals responsible for the development of appropriate systems, tools, resources and training.
