About This Role

We're seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Infrastructure Specialist for our Sydney office, one of the primary players within Asian markets. You'll be responsible for the infrastructure underpinning all of Optiver's trading and non-trading activity in Asia Pacific data centers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end infrastructure deployments, including network and security platforms.
  • Build, manage, and support complex international LAN/WAN & security environments.
  • Drive research, innovation, and implementation of infrastructure capacity and reliability optimizations.
  • Collaborate with developers, researchers, and hardware engineers on projects requiring a stable and scalable platform.
  • Automate, monitor, and benchmark various networks and systems.

Your Profile

  • An Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident, or able to provide evidence of full working rights.
  • 7+ years of experience as a network security engineer, troubleshooting complex network and security issues.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting zone-based firewalls and associated firewall technology with Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Experience in managing Unix systems and monitoring diverse international WAN networks.
