Senior Paediatric Psychologist

About the Opportunity
Our organization is seeking a Senior Psychologist to join our Allied Health Services team in Cairns and Hinterland. In this role, you will provide high-level psychology assessment, consultation, therapeutic intervention, and discharge planning for paediatric patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced psychology services including assessment, consultation, and intervention to paediatric patients and their families.
- Utilize effective communication skills to advise medical and nursing staff, allied health professionals, community organizations, and patients and their carers on clinical and health psychology matters.
- Contribute to clinical research, education, and training activities within the work unit and across the broader service to support quality patient outcomes.
- Work independently to deliver complex and varied clinical services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Psychology or related field.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Proven experience in providing advanced psychology services to paediatric patients and their families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
