Job Title: Chief Information Governance Officer

Job Description:

This is a key position in our organization, responsible for leading the development and implementation of information management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the development, review and maintenance of policies and procedures for effective information management.
  • Providing high-level advice on information management functionality requirements and best practices.
  • Promoting awareness of good information management practices and managing records management training programs.
  • Managing a team of professionals and fostering professionalism, innovation and collaboration.
  • Coordinating responses to Freedom of Information Act applications and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Representing the organization on committees and in the development of whole-of-government information management policies.
  • Leading and supervising projects in accordance with corporate project management processes.

The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of contemporary information management practices and excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility criteria include being an Australian citizen or holding permanent residency, and providing a current National Police Certificate prior to commencement.
