About the Opportunity

Blacktown City Council is seeking enthusiastic and qualified Learn to Swim Instructors to join our Aqua Learn to Swim team on a casual basis. As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering professional and safe learn-to-swim classes to students enrolled in the Aqua Learn to Swim program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the learn to swim program in accordance with framework and standards
  • Ensure classes start and finish on time
  • Manage and report class attendances
  • Accurately assess the swimming lesson students and complete any necessary administration
  • Provide centre users with relevant and accurate information regarding the Learn to Swim Program
Requirements
  • Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification (AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia, Royal Life Saving or similar standard)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Excellent oral communication and customer service skills
  • Current Working with Children Check
