About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to join our team at our Dandenong manufacturing site. As a Welding Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our welding processes and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct visual weld inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Supervise welding processes on the shop floor to ensure adherence to quality procedures
  • Assure site compliance with relevant welding quality standards, including AS/NZS 1554 and EN ISO 15085
  • Review welding quality documents, including WPQR/WPS/NDT reports
  • Support the weld school during welder training and qualification
  • Provide guidance to welders on good practices and quality procedures
Requirements
  • Certification as an international welding supervisor or inspector (IWS/IWI) is desired
  • Formal EN9712 qualification to perform MT/PT NDT is required
  • Formal EN9712 qualification to perform UT NDT will be a strong advantage
  • Knowledge and understanding of the foundations of welding processes
  • Ability to read complex technical drawings
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZS and ISO welding symbols
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of ISO 5817 and relevant parts of AS 1554
  • Familiarity with EN ISO 15085, EN ISO 3834, and EN ISO 9606
