We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Signaling Engineer to join our team at WSP Australia. As a key member of our Queensland Rail team, you will have the opportunity to work on iconic projects and contribute to the growth and success of our Signaling business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise for conventional signaling and manage the technical quality of work performed by the team.
  • Manage and monitor multiple projects of varying complexity and size, ensuring that work produced complies with quality system and client requirements.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings and reports, providing technical input into a diverse range of projects.
  • Be an engaged and active team member, mentoring junior team members in design and business development.
  • Seek information to understand client needs and effectively anticipate and meet client needs, encouraging client focus in colleagues.
  • Define and implement action plans to respond to client feedback and exceed client expectations, taking responsibility for client satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent.
  • Possess RPEQ status.
  • Have proven and extensive experience within Signaling at Senior or Principal Level.
  • Have local experience and competence essential.
  • Demonstrated competence in providing key technical expertise across a broad range of high-profile projects.
  • Competent in managing risk on substantial rail projects.
  • High level skills in applying safety in design practices and processes.
  • Demonstrated multiple instances of delivering best client outcomes/options which have saved the client costs/time.
  • Competent in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
  • Prepares and reviews high level and complex technical reports.
  • Built technical capability of others (training & mentoring) and transferred technical expertise within the organisation.
