This role is a critical component of our organisation's spatial analytics function, providing support for informed decision-making in infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality geospatial data and provide expertise to project teams to inform planning and policy.
- Extract insights from datasets, identify trends and patterns, and develop information products that meet the needs of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop high-quality cartographic maps, reports, and data visualisations to communicate complex spatial concepts effectively.
- Maintain accurate, validated, and efficiently managed spatial data, ensuring timely access to up-to-date datasets that support project delivery and analysis.
The ideal candidate should hold tertiary qualifications in GIS, Urban Planning, Urban Analytics, Infrastructure, or a relevant discipline/equivalent relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in leveraging GIS mapping and spatial data analytics technology to support urban analytics, infrastructure, and land use planning outcomes by applying these tools to convey key messages to non-technical audiences.
A proven track record of using geospatial software and tools including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, PostGIS, Microsoft Access, Infogram, Power BI, Carto, and advanced Office 365 capabilities especially SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Query, and Data Models.
