Trade Assistant Metal Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and mechanically minded individual to fill the role of Trade Assistant Metal. The successful applicant will work alongside installers and fabricators, assisting with various tasks including maintenance, service, and repairs of truck canvass tarps, basic steel fabrication, general industrial canvass, and sheet metal fabrication work.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in a similar role, is well-presented, reliable, and a hard worker, with intermediate to advanced power tool usage and welding experience beneficial but not required.

The ideal candidate will be able to carry out onsite work along with fitters and installers, working 38 hours per week and having a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance, service, and repairs of truck canvass tarps and basic steel fabrication
  • General industrial canvass and sheet metal fabrication work
  • Flexibility to carry out onsite work along with fitters and installers
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role (Sheetmetal/Industrial Fabrics/ShadeSails)
  • Well-presented, reliable, and a hard worker
  • Intermediate to advanced Power tool usage
  • Welding experience is beneficial (training will be provided)
