About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Activation Specialist to join our team.

The Activation Specialist will be responsible for creating and managing innovative, safe, and diverse work activities to enhance customers' chances of securing sustainable employment. Reporting to the Manager, the Activation Specialist partners with stakeholders to establish and manage a range of activities that enable customers to meet their annual activity requirements and build capability and motivation.

This role offers a full-time, ongoing position at our office.

About You

  • You will need to demonstrate high-level interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work effectively with culturally diverse clients, employers, and staff;
  • Maintenance of up-to-date knowledge on labour market trends and suitable local employers relevant to our caseload;
  • Liaising with various stakeholders to establish activities that enable customers to meet their annual activity requirements or build capability and motivation;
  • Experience in creating employment pathway opportunities;
  • Able to read reports and use data to identify performance and compliance issues;
  • Strong skills in data entry and Microsoft Office suite, as well as typing ability (minimum 30 words per minute).

Requirements

  • Holding a current driver's licence;
  • Good understanding of WHS practices;
  • Minimum one year's experience in a management role;
  • Minimum two years' experience in Employment Services;
  • Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development and three WHS Modules from Certificate IV in WHS.
