The Opportunity
We are seeking a mining orientated Geologist to join our Geoscience team in Technical Services. As a Geologist, you will be responsible for interpreting geological data and providing direction to the mining operation. You will work closely with the Short-Term Planning, Mid-Term Planning, Mining, CHPP & Logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities
Collect and observe relevant information through mapping, sampling, and production data. Maintain a regular and proactive pit presence. Provide direction, measurement, feedback, and any other relevant information to maintain on-plan, on-spec, and high-volume coal throughput. Perform on-site geotechnical support and administration.

Requirements
A degree in Geology is essential. You will preferably have experience in open cut coal mining geology, geotechnical monitoring, geotechnical testing, and investigations. You will also have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and geological modelling packages. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.
