About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dealership Accountant to join our team at James Frizelle`s Automotive Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will oversee day-to-day and month-end accounting across several franchises, supervising one Assistant Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements for multiple franchises
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation and assistance with monthly Business Activity Statement
  • Responsibility for maintaining and submitting financial reporting to manufacturers
  • Mentor and manage workflows for an Assistant Accountant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience as an accountant in the automotive industry is preferred but not essential
  • Experience with automotive accounting software such as Pentana preferred
  • Advanced skills in use of Excel essential
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A willingness to learn and continuously develop your skills
