New World Consulting is seeking a dynamic and driven leader for the position of Electrical Maintenance Team Leader. This role is crucial within the realm of Automated Warehousing solutions, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee maintenance operations at a key client site.
Position Overview
As the Electrical Maintenance Team Leader, you will report directly to the Site Manager and take on a hands-on leadership role, providing essential technical support to both the customer and your team of technicians.
The facility operates on a 24/6 schedule, with Sundays designated for Preventative Maintenance, where additional resources are allocated to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday with a rotating roster of day shifts (6am to 2:30pm) and afternoon shifts (2pm to 10:30pm), alternating weekly.
- Overtime opportunities available: 1.5x pay for the first three hours, 2.0x thereafter, and 2.0x on Sundays, with occasional shift cover required.
- One Sunday shift per month, with a corresponding day off in lieu.
- Supervise a team of two technicians (electrician and fitter) during shifts.
- Engage in 60% hands-on maintenance and 40% planned preventative maintenance, utilizing CMMS for management.
- Responsible for stock and inventory oversight.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical escalations on-site.
- Adopt an 'influencer' leadership style to foster team engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with a challenging client base.
- Utilize a '5Y analysis' approach to drive Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Inspire and coach your team to achieve preventative maintenance objectives and overall site maintenance goals.
- Electrical Trade Certificate (Fitter trade certification is also acceptable).
- Pneumatics & Hydraulics Post Trade Certificate is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Experience with automated warehouse machinery is desirable.
- Ability to perform under pressure while adhering to established procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Proficient in fault finding and diagnosis within mechatronics.
- Customer-centric approach to service delivery.
