UGL Defence is seeking expressions of interest for a unique opportunity to join our team as a Aviation Tanker Driver on a long-term, operations and maintenance contract within the defence sector.

This role will be based at a major fuel installation in NSW's Shoalhaven region, supporting the delivery of fuel to Defence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating fuel tanker trucks around the fuel installation and Defence base
  • Working closely with operators to safely load fuel tanks
  • Delivering fuel to designated refuelling points
  • Operating pumps on tanker trucks to ensure effective fuel delivery
  • Communicating with internal and external teams to ensure excellent customer experience
  • Supporting the broader operations team and performing duties within the fuel installation

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong team player with a self-starter attitude and dedication to delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Proven experience operating heavy vehicles, with a HR/HC Drivers Licence and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence
  • Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry will be highly regarded
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team
  • Current holder, or ability to obtain relevant security clearances
  • Willingness to relocate to Nowra, NSW or nearby suburbs
