About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Assessment and Authorisation Specialist to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our cyber security team, you will be responsible for proactively reviewing, assessing, updating, and preparing security documentation and associated artefacts to ensure that the environments and systems within our scope have the authority to operate.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Security Documentation and Artefacts: Review, assess, and update security documentation suites and associated artefacts to support authorisation activities.
  2. Security Control Validation: Validate and verify security controls and their effectiveness against the Australian Government ISM, Essential 8, NIST, other approved cyber security frameworks, and standard designs.
  3. Security Auditing: Conduct security and compliance auditing to ensure adherence to security frameworks and standards.
  4. Gap Analysis and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate security risks and gaps in our systems and environments.
  5. Evidence Collection: Collect and maintain evidence of security controls and their effectiveness.
  6. Cyber Security Advice: Provide expert cyber security advice through excellent written and verbal communication methods.
  7. Cyber Security Governance: Apply cyber security governance, risk, and compliance principles and concepts to ensure the security of our systems and environments.
  8. Outcome-Focused Workshops: Facilitate outcome-focused security assessment workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  9. Documentation and Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records of security activities and artefacts.
Requirements
  1. Australian Government Security Clearance: Hold an NV2 Australian Government Security Clearance.
  2. Experience: 2+ years' experience in a similar role, conducting security certification and accreditation activities, risk management, and security control assessment.
  3. Certifications: Certification such as CRISC, CISM, CISA, CISSP, ISO27001, or similar.
  4. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and sound organisational skills.
  6. Defence Experience: Experience working with Defence is desirable.
  7. IRAP Certification: IRAP Certification is desirable.
