About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Engagement Officer to join our team at Hume City Council. As a key member of our community development team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative programs for young people across Hume.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, facilitate, implement, and evaluate a broad range of library and learning programs and activities for young people across the Hume Municipality.
  • Engage Hume's young community in learning, library, and cultural activities relevant to Hume Libraries' purpose.
  • Provide excellent customer and information services to the Hume community.
Requirements
  • Firm understanding of engaging and developing young people.
  • Ability to develop, facilitate, and implement programs with and for young people, and be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of existing programs.
  • Capacity to develop and maintain effective working relationships internally and with external providers.
  • Passion for youth involvement, and understanding of the pathways available to connect young people with Hume Libraries.
