About Us
Healius has an expansive network of medical laboratories and patient collection centres operating across Australia. We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in the country, extending from servicing large hospitals to small Indigenous Australian communities. This means that you will be working in a business that offers job stability and security, as well as opportunities for career growth and development.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Healthcare Specialist, your key responsibilities will include collecting blood and non-blood samples with care and attention, keeping meticulous records, delivering documentation within strict turnaround times, preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing, and liaising with customers, clinic staff, and couriers. You will also have the opportunity to work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection, excellent customer service and communication skills, organisational skills with a high level of time management and attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You must also hold a valid Driver's license and be willing to travel to multiple clinics. Additionally, you will need to meet the requirements for working with children and hold evidence of vaccine preventable disease such as Hepatitis B. Other vaccinations may also be required based on location.
