About the Role

Ozhealth Australasia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist emergency medical care to patients across two hospitals
  • Quality improvement and undergraduate & post-graduate teaching
  • Arrange onward referral of patients for medical services not available locally
  • Participate in the on-call roster
  • Provide a consultative service to other specialist units
  • Supervise and teach junior medical staff and medical students
  • Participate in clinical research
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, and related training
Requirements
  • Specialist (Emergency Medicine) or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Recent experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Demonstrated experience in providing acute resuscitation services to the critically ill & effective communication skills with patients, their relatives, and professional colleagues
