Job Title: Senior Executive Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive Advisor to serve as the principal adviser to our CEO. The successful candidate will lead the coordination and running of the CEO's office, coordinating a substantial program of work.

This role requires a strategic thinker with superior communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. You will act as the CEO's primary delegate on various programs, projects and committees, and work with the CEO to ensure the delivery of key actions contained within our plan and other strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing a program of work for the CEO to assist with the delivery of council plan and other strategic initiatives
  • Identifying and cultivating opportunities for the CEO to promote high priority programs and community development needs
  • Designing and implementing an advocacy and engagement strategy and program for the CEO
  • Implementing internal and external communication plans, including social media for the Office of the CEO

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A highly developed strategic orientation and a track record in delivering new ways of thinking and working
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Confidence in liaising with and developing constructive relationships with stakeholders to the highest level
  • Experience and significant achievement in delivering positive and purposeful outcomes
  • Demonstrated senior management experience in complex and challenging organisations
  • Exceptional political and commercial acumen with proven experience in dealing with complexity and ambiguity
  • Significant experience dealing with all levels of Government
