About the Role

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a National Police Checking Service Support Officer. This is a casual opportunity that requires the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve the identity of persons of interest who have matched against national police records in National Policing Information (NPI) Systems.
  • Process criminal history checks by resolving identity discrepancies.
  • Work across multiple IT platforms, including the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, responding to enquiries in writing and over the phone.

Requirements

  • Australian citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
  • Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to employment.
  • Good communication and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and KPIs.
  • Sound computer literacy skills and ability to work across multiple IT platforms.
