Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, deploying, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure. You will possess a deep understanding of public cloud principles, practical application of these principles, cloud services, and security, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure to support various applications and services.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts leveraging CI/CD processes, automated testing, unit testing, code coverage, and other software development best practices.
  • Optimize platform performance by analyzing server performance and diagnostic logs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement robust cloud security measures and controls in line with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Regularly assess and remediate vulnerabilities and threats using automation, ensuring the highest level of security.
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish technical direction and drive innovative solutions that meet business needs.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of data flow, infrastructure architecture, and SOPs to ensure transparency and accountability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 2 years' experience in platform engineering focusing on cloud solutions (Azure & AWS).
  • Strong understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a cloud infrastructure context.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, with experience in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices, including threat assessment and mitigation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required, with a commitment to quality, security, and operability standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and analytically.
