Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Centre Manager to ensure the efficient and effective management of the early learning centre.
  • Support the development and implementation of programs and partnerships to enhance and support development of Early Years Learning Plans in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of the centre with regards to the health and well-being of the children and staff, including enhancing their educational opportunities through strengthening their social, emotional, intellectual and physical development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in the Early Learning sector; preferably including time spent working as an Educator showing progression to more senior roles such as Room Leader, Educational Leader or 3IC/2IC roles.
  • Must have experience working with children.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring a team of staff members.
  • Experience in all aspects of educational programming within the Early Years Framework; including the development of Centre's resources, books, posters.
  • Experience developing and managing staff rosters.
  • Previous experience managing recruitment activities, desirable.
  • Solid computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft packages; proficiency in the use of XAP and Time Target, or similar systems.
