Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wood Technology Education Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time ongoing position, commencing in 2026.

The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching wood technology to students at a secondary school level, with a focus on developing their technical skills and knowledge in this area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality lessons to students, promoting engagement and understanding of wood technology concepts
  • Develop and implement curriculum programs that cater to the needs of all students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and policies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification
  • A strong commitment to Catholic education and values
  • An ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • An ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in leading best practice in the management of people and resources
  • Demonstrated ability to build capacity in others
  • Strong interpersonal skills in relating to staff, students, parents, and guardians
Working Conditions:

This role is based at a co-educational, multi-campus secondary school, governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited. The successful applicant will be required to hold Victorian Institute of Teaching registration and accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school (if applicable).
