Job Opportunity: Community Development and Place-making Specialist

Mitchell Shire is embarking on a transformative journey where urban and rural areas converge. Our region boasts picturesque landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and diverse communities.

This dynamic role is part of our Community Development and Youth Services team. As the Place-making Community Centre Officer, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Broadford Living and Learning Centre.

  • Develop efficient administrative procedures to ensure smooth Centre operations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement inclusive programs and initiatives
  • Identify vulnerable community groups and establish support networks through local partnerships
  • Provide exceptional customer service, upholding Council's customer service charter and Neighbourhood House sector principles
