The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Lead to join our Minor Projects Team in Western Sydney. This customer-focused role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects for delivery to our client, Sydney Water. The primary objective is to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of concurrent projects while adhering to safety, quality, environmental, schedule, budget, and scope objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor teams to achieve project goals
  • Effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit internal and external project reports
  • Manage commercial aspects, including claims, variations, and extensions of time
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with our safety, quality assurance & environmental management system
  • Oversee all phases of complex construction projects
  • Apply contract management, planning, and financial management expertise
  • Cultivate strong communication skills to coordinate deliverables and achieve project time and budget objectives
Requirements:
  • A degree-level qualification in Engineering or Project Management (or equivalent)
  • Prior experience in a project management role, preferably in maintenance or construction projects within industrial or water facility settings
  • Strong understanding of control systems and project financial management, forecasting, procurement, and contracts management functions
  • An affinity for continuous improvement and innovation
