SEE Group is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead the high-performing team at our DMC Quarries in New South Wales, Australia.
About the Role
The Quarry Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality, safety, environmental, operational, and financial management of the sites. This is a critical role that requires ensuring all company policies, procedures, and expectations are met, including compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the quarry sites, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve site productivity, quality, and safety.
- Lead and motivate the site team to achieve business objectives.
- Manage site budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Formal qualification in Surface Extraction Operations, Project Management, or a related field.
- Relevant Quarry Managers Certificate.
- Background in mining, quarrying, and delivery processes.
- Proven management skills, practices, and planning ability.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and maintaining focus on priorities.
- Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating, and administering contracts, specifications, and Australian standards.
- Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.
- Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
