Physical Health and Wellbeing Consultant Role

A highly skilled consultant is required to deliver exercise programs for individuals experiencing physical health concerns.

  • The ideal candidate will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop tailored exercise plans and monitor client progress to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with clients on a one-to-one basis and in groups to address their physical health needs.
  2. Conduct functional capacity evaluations, musculoskeletal and fitness assessments, and ergonomic evaluations as part of the initial assessment process.
  3. Prescribe clinical exercise with a focus on work conditioning and strengthening, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  4. Deliver group-based programs focusing on psycho-education, work conditioning, manual handling, chronic pain management and strengthening exercises.

Requirements:

  • Accredited Exercise Physiologist registered with ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply best practice therapeutic approaches and possess exceptional organisational skills.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or equivalent, and a postgraduate qualification in Exercise Physiology.
