Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Leader to join our team at the State Government of Victoria, Australia. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering improved student performance and educational outcomes, as outlined in our strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Head Start program, aligning with department and school policies and priorities.
  • Enhance the knowledge base of staff within schools about student learning and high-quality vocational instruction, supporting meaningful employment pathways.
  • Plan and teach programs to achieve positive student outcomes and longer-term student retention.
  • Undertake critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills, effectively engaging students and improving their learning.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues across Victoria, collaborating on program opportunities and contributing to the Head Start program through capacity building.
  • Undertake other duties in addition to their rostered teaching duties.
Requirements
  • Have a current driver's licence.
  • Have a current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualification(s).
  • Be highly mobile, with the ability to work across a range of schools.
  • Complete work from a location(s) other than their host school.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the school setting, particularly the relationships between middle and senior secondary education regarding career pathways.
