The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter to join our service department in a permanent full-time position.

This role will see you focus on all aspects of Heavy Diesel mechanics and mobile plant equipment fitting, with a strong emphasis on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for our valued customer base.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Trade Qualifications: A minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • Safety Commitment: A proactive awareness of safety protocols and a commitment to Hitachi's number one priority.
  • Experience and Skillset: Heavy Diesel mechanics and field service fitters with demonstrated work experience and technical knowledge of construction equipment, with Hitachi equipment experience highly regarded.
  • Positive Can-Do Attitude: A proactive and positive attitude towards work and challenges.
  • Analytical Thinking: The ability to navigate complex technical issues in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework.
  • Autonomous Productivity: The initiative to plan work fronts efficiently and effectively, delivering quality outcomes to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction.
