As a Compassionate Care Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Providing support with personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing, and more
- Administering medications as required
- Assisting with transfers using hoists and slide sheets, and general assistance with mobility
- Supporting with domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, or meal preparation
- Accompanying clients on community outings, including attending medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other social activities of their choice
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong ability to work flexible hours on a roster system
- Excellent communication skills and a dedication to providing exceptional care and support
- The capacity to work autonomously, as well as under direction and within a team environment
- Calm and confident demeanor in various settings, with a clear understanding of professional boundaries
- The ability to provide personal care with dignity and sensitivity to clients
- A commitment to an inclusive society and the values of client focus, respect, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and courage
In return, we offer:
- An hourly rate based on your industry-related experience and qualifications
- A minimum pay level of $33.01/hr at Level 1.1 for those entering the industry
- Paid training provided by health professionals to all employees
- Additional penalty rates for night and weekend shifts (as per the SCHADS Award)

To be eligible for this role, you will need to possess:
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card)
- A commitment to infection prevention and control measures, including the use of PPE as directed
- A smartphone with an iOS 13.0 and up operating system or an Android 6.0 and up operating system
