We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in creating a world-class container management and orchestration service for the cloud and beyond. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in defining the next generation of cloud-native infrastructure on Azure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advance the capabilities of Kubernetes and auxiliary components on Azure
  • Improve the quality of service for Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Accelerate development velocity for all engineers
  • Balance pragmatism with vision; deliver continuous improvements to the team's process and codebase
  • Build automation to prevent and/or remediate service problems from becoming production incidents

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 4+ years of experiences in commercial software development
  • 4+ years of experiences in building, shipping and operating reliable, distributed solutions
  • 4+ years of experiences with containers and Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Experience in Golang
  • Experience in Linux
  • Ability to engage in site-reliability engineering practices
