We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Care Services Associate
">About the PositionThe successful candidate will play a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfillment through the delivery of person-centered care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice.
- They will be responsible for meal choices and individual nutrition, taking into consideration allergies and food intolerances to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Meal selection and meal timing preferences will be handled by the Care Services Associate, ensuring residents receive personalized attention and care.
- The position involves preparing and setting up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences, actively engaging with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes.
- Promoting resident choice and control is also an essential aspect of this role, aimed at upholding dignity and respect.
- Maintenance of accurate nutrition and diet information as required is a critical responsibility of the Care Services Associate.
- Assisting with quality food preparation in accordance with established guidelines is also expected of the successful candidate.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
- A compassionate and caring attitude is essential, along with previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded).
- Willingness to take direction from others and adapt to changing situations is crucial for success in this role.
- Reliability and shift flexibility are also key requirements, along with good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Valid working rights in Australia are mandatory for this position.
