Job Description

The Queensland Government's Medical Assessment Tribunal is seeking a highly skilled Medical Tribunal Assistant to join their team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in preparing and validating referrals against relevant legislation.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage an allocated caseload of referrals from Queensland workers' compensation insurers, overseeing the process from referral to final outcome. This requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

This is a temporary full-time position with the possibility of extension. You will work collaboratively with a high-performing team of referral coordinators to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and validate referrals against relevant legislation;
  • Manage an allocated caseload of referrals from Queensland workers' compensation insurers;
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues;
  • Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Maintain effective working relationships.
