Are you passionate about providing dementia-specific support and care? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team on a permanent basis.

">Job Description:">

We provide dementia-specific respite for clients and their families, including scheduled overnight stays. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and observation skills, be patient and caring, and able to provide emotional support and practical assistance to clients living with dementia.

  • ">
  • Provide dementia-specific respite for clients and their families.">
  • Attend and support group respite activities and Dementia Together retreats.">
  • Offer meaningful engagement, emotional support, and practical assistance to clients living with dementia.">
  • Travel within the diocese as needed to support clients in different locations.">
">Requirements:">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or willingness to obtain.">
  • CHCAGE011 – Provide Support to People Living with Dementia (or relevant updated qualification), or willingness to obtain.">
  • Assist Clients with Medication competency or willingness to obtain.">
  • Be available for overnight support on a semi-regular basis.">

What's Involved?
As a Dementia Care Specialist, you will work closely with our experienced team to provide high-quality support and care to individuals living with dementia.

Maintain accurate progress notes and incident/risk reporting. To maintain quality of life we are looking for someone who understand unique needs of people living with dementia. You would be part of dedicated team making a real impact on individuals and their families.
