Employment Opportunity: Automotive Tyre Fitter - Fulltime

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated tyre fitter to join our team at our Onslow Iron Operation. As a tyre fitter, you will play a crucial part in supporting our haulage operations by monitoring and diagnosing tyre damage and wear, removing and replacing wheels, and performing emergency tyre and related repairs on our fleet of Kenworth road trains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and diagnose tyre damage and wear
  • Remove and replace wheels
  • Perform emergency tyre and related repairs
  • Work in a fast-paced state-of-the-art workshop facility

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Fitting
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality of work
  • Demonstrated experience with heavy vehicle or heavy mobile plant machinery
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Benefits:

This is a full-time permanent position with a 2/1 roster and rotating day and night shifts. You will also have access to modern camp facilities, including a gym, movie theatre, and golf practice nets.

About Our Operation:

Our Onslow Iron project is set to redefine mining in Western Australia through world-first autonomous road trains, industry-leading dust-free transport, and innovative tran-shipping. The project will ship around 35 million tonnes of iron ore per year and is expected to have a mine life of more than 30 years.
