Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Virtualisation and Infrastructure Designer to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will have the opportunity to innovate on exciting Electronic Warfare projects.

This role offers uncapped training and development opportunities, as well as other benefits including flexible working options, paid parental leave, and study leave.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Producing high-level DODAF detailed design documents with a focus on Systems Engineering design and traceability concepts
  • Collaborating with technical teams to help "Transition into Service" activities
  • Planning and scheduling infrastructure rollouts in geographically distributed data centres
  • Providing advice and guidance in aspects of infrastructure deployment

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunication, or a related discipline
  • Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems, and networking technologies
  • A strong background as a System Designer on medium to large-size projects
  • Experience with Software Engineering and VMWare virtualisation
  • A combination of relevant certifications such as VMWare VCAPS, Red Hat, or CompTia Sec+
  • Experience with configuring Converged and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure
  • A strong understanding of VMWare, Openshift, and Citrix
  • A sound understanding of BMC's (Bare Metal Controller) like iDRAC, iLOM, and other vendor-supported BMC's
  • Strong communication skills
  • Process-oriented with good attention to detail
  • Australian citizenship and an NV1 clearance as a minimum
