We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Nurse to join our dynamic team.

This role involves providing high-quality postoperative care to inpatients on a 21-bed surgical unit with a diverse specialty caseload.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with support and guidance from the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to deliver exceptional patient care aligned with our hospital's values and strategic objectives.

To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • A relevant nursing qualification and registration with AHPRA
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a surgical specialty
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong customer focus
  • The capacity to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate patient care needs
  • Exceptional customer service and time management abilities
  • The capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships

Availability to work across a rotating roster, including AM, PM and Night shifts, is essential for this role.

You will be specialising in providing postoperative care to inpatients on a 21-bed surgical unit with a diverse specialty caseload.
