Senior Mason

Skillful and experienced masons are sought after to join our organization.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Interpreting building plans and work orders.
• Erecting and dismantling scaffolding while adhering to safety protocols.
• Constructing structures using a variety of materials including bricks, blocks, tiles, boards, and stone.

Masonry duties and responsibilities also entail:

• Laying bricks in rows, designs, and shapes.
• Spreading mortar between joints.
• Embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar.
• Strengthening and sealing foundations with the appropriate material.
• Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.
• Repairing building blocks.
• Managing material quantities effectively.
• Utilizing tools such as hand tools, brick-cutting machines, spirit levels, and plumb lines to check building alignment.
• Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.
• Employing equipment and tools efficiently to perform basic construction tasks.
• Maintaining accurate records/documentation associated with the work undertaken.
• Ensuring compliance with agreed codes, legislation, and procedures, including health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Certificate III/IV in Bricklaying or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience.

This position offers a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 per annum.
