The Nursing Lecturer TFA Level B is a key position within the Victoria University community, responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences to undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery/Bachelor of Nursing. As a member of the academic staff, you will develop and deliver class materials, coordinate nursing units, and work collaboratively with other academics, sessional staff, and university staff across learning and teaching, and research activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver class materials to nursing students, including workshop, laboratory, and simulated-learning sessions.
- Coordinate nursing units in the nursing and midwifery programs, including practice placement units.
- Work collaboratively with other academics, sessional staff, and university staff to achieve learning and teaching goals.
- Undertake and/or lead research within nursing to inform the knowledge base of the discipline.
- Participate in unit development and professional activities associated with the Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery/Bachelor of Nursing, and other courses, as required.
The successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse with experience in learning and teaching of nurses and, is currently an active researcher. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as having demonstrated commitment to working with students to develop their professional capabilities. The successful applicant will hold a Masters of Nursing qualification, and preferably be working towards a PhD.
