We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our Finance team at Kogan.com. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial objectives and contributing to the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, half-year, and year-end management accounts and statutory accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance team and internal stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
  • Financial Reconciliations: Prepare banking and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare monthly BAS returns.
  • Financial Review: Examine financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Financial Inquiry: Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage Accounts Receivable, including working with customers on outstanding balances.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar).
  • Professional Certifications: Either completing or have completed your CA/CPA qualification.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working within Finance/Accounting, preferably in a Retail/E-Commerce/FMCG environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within an ASX listed business will be highly regarded.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with SAP will be highly regarded.
  • Communication: Comfortable building and maintaining effective relationships through exceptional communication and engagement.
  • Problem-Solving: An exceptional problem solver, using your strong attention to detail to maintain data entry and reconciliation accuracy.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, being agile and adaptable is key to success.
  • Technical Proficiency: A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we're talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and AVERAGE).
  • IT Skills: Tech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
