Job Opportunity:

The department is seeking a Manager to work in the Visitor Engagement section. The Visitor Engagement section delivers quality interpretation and support services to diverse audiences including parliamentarians, building occupants and visitors.

About the Role:

The Manager role supports the efficient and effective day to day operations of the section by managing rostering of casual, part time and full-time staff. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances and perform a range of tasks including roster management, supervising staff, communicating with stakeholders, and utilizing Microsoft office products and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Visitor Engagement staff rosters ensuring all activities are suitably staffed and schedules are distributed within Enterprise Agreement requirements.
  2. Act as the section contact for Workplace Scheduling Services.
  3. Supervise the Visitor Engagement Concierge team.
  4. Manage procurement processes for the Visitor Engagement Section.
  5. Ensure tour booking systems are functional and updated as operational needs require.
  6. Ensure reporting and evaluation systems are in place and monthly analysis occurs in a timely manner.
  7. As a member of the Visitor Engagement Leadership team undertake duties as requested to support the strategic goals of the branch.
  8. Other duties as directed.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in rostering, supervising staff, and communicating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Confidence with a range of Microsoft office products and digital platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
