Project Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to the success of our infrastructure project in Far North Queensland. This innovative project involves converting a disused gold mine into a pumped storage hydroelectric power generation facility.

The Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for tracking and monitoring costs throughout the project lifecycle, interpreting specifications and standards, and assessing their impact on project costs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Tracking and monitoring costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Interpreting specifications and standards and assessing their impact on project costs
  • Using cost control models to increase profitability by identifying variances
  • Analyzing actual costs against planned costs and forecasting final costs versus budget
  • Creation of tender event schedules for procurement programs
  • Budget/tender reconciliation, change management, and variance analysis
  • Quantification and costing of construction work
  • Quantity take-off and preparing bills of quantities
  • Interface with project managers and engineers to best manage risks and opportunities
Requirements
  • Tertiary or trade qualification in quantity surveying
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience working on infrastructure projects within the construction industry
