At QinetiQ, we are seeking an experienced HR professional to support our operations in Nowra. As a key member of our Air Affairs team, you will play a vital role in providing HR advice and guidance to employees, as well as assisting with the maintenance and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

About the Role:

  • You will provide efficient first-line support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and activities.
  • Evaluate, prepare, and update position descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect the roles and responsibilities of our team members.
  • Support the continuous development and implementation of HR processes to enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Compile and provide data and employment information to the employee services team to inform business decisions.
  • Manage ongoing compliance requirements, including developing plans and reports to ensure we meet regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with the broader People team to ensure seamless delivery of HR cyclical activities are rolled out, understood, and embedded into functional teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in an agile HR team, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment laws, including the Fair Work Act, NES, and Modern Awards, with the ability to interpret and advise on these regulations.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to influence key stakeholders and build trust with employees.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to implement and manage processes to achieve consistent results.

About You:

  • You have a proven track record of delivering high-quality HR services, with a focus on excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • You are passionate about building relationships and communicating effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • You are a strategic thinker, able to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement change initiatives to drive business outcomes.

Salary:

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
