Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Midwife to join our maternity team at St John of God Health Care. As a midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our patients through every step of their journey to becoming parents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
- Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital.
- Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate.
- Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.
- Contribute to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
Requirements
- Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction.
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
