As a Specialist Sonographer, you will deliver high-quality ultrasound imaging services for both inpatients and outpatients at the Medical Imaging department of the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).
You will collaborate closely with the Senior Specialist Sonographer – Ultrasound, providing clinical guidance, professional mentorship, and ensuring adherence to best practice standards in ultrasound imaging services, in line with organizational policies and professional ethics.

Position Details
This is a permanent, full-time position requiring shift work, with a commitment of 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as you are available.
*Hours may be negotiable with the selected candidate.
The salary range is $106,966 - $118,114 per annum, complemented by an employer superannuation contribution of 11.5%.
Additionally, you will have access to a salary package that includes various benefits, such as living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 for meal entertainment each FBT year, along with other eligible benefits.
Moreover, the following allowances may be available based on the salaried incremental point:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum.
- Salary range is determined by the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement.
Essential Criteria for Applicants
- A tertiary qualification or program of study recognized by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry.
- Accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry; if also practicing as a radiographer, registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia is required.
